Actor Shawn Ashmore is best known for starring as Bobby Drake,
otherwise known as Iceman, in the highly successful “X-Men” movie
franchise, and reprised his role in “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”
Keeping with his superhero roots, he was recently seen as Lamplighter
on Amazon Prime’s cult hit “The Boys.” Ashmore can currently be
seen in ABC’s “The Rookie” and also starred alongside Haley
Attwell in the drama series “Conviction” on the same network. He
can next be seen in theaters in “It Feeds” opposite Ashley Greene
whom he also starred opposite in “Aftermath” which was a Top 10
movie hit on Netflix for weeks. He also appeared on Netflix in both
“Devil’s Gate” and “Acts of Violence” opposite Bruce Willis
and Cole Hauser. Ashmore was seen in theaters in the dark thriller
“Hollow in the Land,” which received rave reviews from critics and
can also be seen in “Darkness Falls” on Amazon Prime as well as a
Blumhouse TVs “Into the Dark” and “The Free Fall” on Hulu.

Ashmore starred as Mike Weston opposite Kevin Bacon on Kevin
Williamson’s hit psychological thriller series, “The Following,”
which aired for three seasons on the FOX network. The series was the
most successful new original drama of the 2013 season.

In film, Ashmore starred in the Sundance Film Festival screened
“Frozen,” about three skiers stranded on a chairlift, who are
forced to make life-or-death choices as well as the post-apocalyptic
thriller “The Day,” which screened at the 2011 Toronto
International Film Festival. He played the lead role in the Canadian
telefilm, “Diverted,” a fictional story about what happened to
passengers aboard a flight on 9/11. In 2008, he played the role of
Eric in the Dreamworks sci-fi thriller “The Ruins.”

In 2004, he won the MTV Movie Award for Breakthrough Male for his role
in the “X-Men” sequel “X2: X-Men United.”

In 2005, amongst other films, he starred in “Terry,” in which he
played the heroic Terry Fox, who after losing his leg to cancer ran
across Canada in 1980 to raise money and awareness for the disease.
The film went on to receive numerous accolades and award nominations
including a Best Film and Best Actor Gemini Nomination for Ashmore.
This was not his first nomination: Early in his career in 1994, he was
nominated for a Gemini Award for his work as Waylon Tibbins in the TV
movie “Guitarman.”

Ashmore grew up in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada.
